Changes in Routine

Changes in family structure can be easier if your animal understands the situation and is given the opportunity to express its needs. Birth, death, divorce, or addition of a new animal family member are all circumstances that will affect your animal friend.

Communication can help reduce anxiety when the animal understands that their humans will return from trips. They can cooperate better and feel more at ease with separation when they know they will be safe and who will care for them in their family’s absence.

If the family is moving to a new home, the animal will adapt more quickly if it knows what is happening in the moving process, and that it will not be left behind.
